Aguilar Defeats Chabot, Re-elected to Second Term
Pledges to continue working to "build an economy that's fairer for everyone"
(San Bernardino, CA) -, Congressman Pete Aguilar was re-elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, securing a comfortable victory over his opponent, Paul Chabot, who lost to Aguilar in 2014. Congressman Aguilar released the following statement:
"I'm honored that San Bernardino County residents have chosen me to continue representing them in Congress, but this victory is not about me. It's about the people of the Inland Empire, who wake up every day ready to work hard and reach for the American Dream. I plan to do my part by working every day to build an economy that's fairer for everyone, supports small businesses, and protect veterans, students and seniors."
"There are so many people to thank: my family, my staff, and the many volunteers who worked around the clock but who often don't get the credit they deserve. This team believes, like I do, that a commitment to strengthening our middle class and creating good-paying jobs are the keys to invigorating our local economy and making the Inland Empire a better place to live."
"I'm truly grateful for the continued trust and support. Together, we will keep building on the progress we've already made and secure a better future for our Inland Empire community."
