Redlands, CA – After yesterday’s announcement that Amazon will open a new fulfillment center in San Bernardino County, Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar, Democratic candidate for Congress in California’s 31st district, discussed the importance of bringing good paying, middle class jobs to the Inland Empire with NBC4’s Tony Shin:
“We’re talking hundreds of new jobs for Inland Empire residents…full time jobs with benefits, stock options and educational reimbursements,” Mayor Aguilar said. “We hope that other employers also look to Redlands and this region. The Inland Empire is growing and thriving.”

In their announcement yesterday, Amazon said that, “since opening its first fulfillment center in the state under two years ago, Amazon has created thousands of full-time jobs and expanded its presence to nearly five-million-square-feet. Amazon’s other California fulfillment centers are located in San Bernardino, Moreno Valley, Patterson and Tracy.”
